After the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, a quick darshan facility has now been started at the Shri Kaal Bhairav Temple as well. Under the new arrangement implemented from Wednesday, devotees will be able to have direct darshan from the sanctum sanctorum by purchasing a ₹500 ticket. Tickets will be available from counters set up outside the temple premises from 6 am to 9 pm. At the world-famous Shri Kaal Bhairav Temple, where liquor is offered to Lord Kaal Bhairav as bhog, thousands of devotees arrive daily for darshan. Keeping in view the increasing number of devotees and preparations for Simhastha-2028, corridor expansion and other facilities are being developed at the temple at a cost of ₹125.17 crore. According to the temple administration, the arrangement has currently been launched in offline mode and will soon be made available online as well. Under the new system, devotees will be able to use a special route leading directly to the sanctum sanctorum for darshan. How to Get Quick Darshan Considering the increasing number of devotees visiting the Kaal Bhairav Temple, the administration has introduced a paid darshan arrangement similar to the VIP protocol system. General devotees wishing to avail quick darshan will have to purchase a ₹500 ticket from the counter installed outside the temple. After buying the ticket, devotees will be allowed entry through the route connected to the temple’s exit gate. From there, devotees will be able to enter directly through the sanctum entrance gate and have darshan inside the garbhagriha. Only offline arrangement for now Kaal Bhairav Temple administrator LN Garg said the ticketing arrangement has initially been started in offline mode and will soon be shifted online. He said devotees visiting the temple were often cheated in the name of quick darshan. Under the new arrangement, devotees can now purchase tickets directly from the temple counter and get darshan from the sanctum sanctorum. This is the current darshan arrangement The temple remains open from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm. During this period, darshan remains closed briefly during the aarti at 8 am and 8:30 pm. At other times, devotees are allowed darshan through queue arrangements. Separate darshan arrangements are also available for VIP devotees based on administrative protocols.
