govt-teacher-found-dead-alongside-student-in-satna:woman’s-father-raises-suspicion-after-blood-stained-iron-pan-recovered-from-crime-scene

A shocking double death case has emerged from the Kolgawan police station area of Satna district, where the blood-soaked body of a 29-year-old government teacher, Poonam Ahirwar, was found inside a rented room on Friday. Above her body, police found the hanging body of a young man identified as Ambikesh Gautam. Investigators also recovered a blood-stained iron pan with hair stuck to it, believed to be linked to the crime. The pan was reportedly thrown from the third floor of the building. Police suspect that the young man first murdered the woman and later died by suicide. However, the deceased woman’s father has rejected this theory and claimed that a third person may be involved in the murder. Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, the woman’s father, Shivkumar Ahirwar, said he did not even know the young man found with his daughter. How the incident came to light According to police, Ankitesh Gautam, a resident of Bela village in Rewa district, had been living in the rented room in Satna for the past three years while pursuing engineering studies. Two months ago, his younger brother Ambikesh moved in with him after securing a job. On the evening of May 15, Ankitesh returned to the room and found it locked from outside. When he came back around 8 pm, the lock was still there. However, he could hear the cooler running inside the room. When he called his brother’s phone, he heard the ringtone coming from inside the room itself, which raised suspicion. After peeping through a window, he allegedly saw Ambikesh hanging from the ceiling. With the help of the landlord, the lock was broken open. Inside, the blood-covered body of the woman was found lying on the floor. Police officials, including CSP Devendra Pratap Singh, Station House Officer Sudip Soni and an FSL team, reached the scene shortly after. The woman was identified through Aadhaar and identity cards as Poonam Ahirwar, a resident of Kotma in Anuppur district. She was employed as a Class-1 government teacher in Bansagar Deolond. Father raises suspicion of murder The victim’s father, Shivkumar Ahirwar, said his daughter had left home on May 14, telling the family she was travelling to Bhopal. According to him, she had taken ₹2,000 from the cupboard before leaving for the railway station. He said the family has no idea how she reached Satna. The father questioned the police theory on three grounds. First, he alleged that his daughter was involved in a relationship with a married fruit trader named Vinod Gupta, and therefore suspects his involvement. Second, he questioned the actions of the person who broke open the room without first informing the police. Third, he raised concerns over the absence of the actual murder weapon. CCTV footage shows teacher with student Police recovered CCTV footage from the building showing Poonam Ahirwar and Ambikesh Gautam walking toward the room together at around 10:35 pm on May 14. The footage suggests that the two knew each other before the incident. Police are now investigating the case using call detail records, CCTV footage and forensic evidence to determine the exact sequence of events.
