Three labourers died after being hit by a boring machine vehicle in Pithampur Sector One of Dhar district. The accident occurred on Tuesday morning at 4 am in Gavla village. Actually, the three labourers, residents of Chhattisgarh, were sleeping under the vehicle. The driver reversed the truck, and the rear tire ran over the labourers. Boring work was underway on the field According to the police, borewell work was underway at the fields of Subhash Chauhan and Rudan Singh Solanki, residents of Gavla. After the work, tired labourers lay down to rest under the supporting air vehicle (KA 51 MC 5799) that accompanies the boring machine vehicle. At that moment, the driver negligently reversed the truck. He was unaware of the laborers sleeping below, and the truck’s rear tire ran directly over them. In the accident, Ramcharan son of Meghnad (56) resident of Khardhadi (Chhattisgarh), Bhanupratap (19) son of Tribhuvan Sai resident of Sonagersa (Chhattisgarh), and Arvind (22) son of Namulram Karmapara (Chhattisgarh) died on the spot. Case registered against driver, bodies sent for post-mortem Police have registered a case on the complaint of complainant Ramesh Ikka. According to eyewitnesses and the police, this incident occurred due to the driver’s negligence, as the heavy vehicle was reversed in the dark without any caution or inspection.
