In Barwani district, a 32-year-old man allegedly shot dead his father on Monday after he refused to give him ₹2 lakh. The accused, Chandan Badole, fired at his father’s temple, and the bullet passed through, killing him on the spot. The deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Jagan Badole. The incident occurred in Pichodi village under the Kotwali police station area. Police said Chandan had earlier ran a welding shop and had been repeatedly demanding money from his father for some time. Pressuring his father for money Family members stated that the father had already given his son about two lakh rupees, but despite this, Chandan continued to pressure him for more money. This issue had caused long-standing tension in the house, which escalated into a violent quarrel on Monday. This argument escalated so much that it reached the point of a physical altercation. During this, Chandan lost his temper and took out a pistol kept in the house and fired it. In her statement to the police, Gauri Bai said that during the argument, Chandan suddenly got angry and committed the crime. After the incident, Chandan fled from the spot. Investigation of 7 acres of land and old dispute also According to family members, the family owns approximately 7 acres of land, of which 5 acres are located in Khalghat and 2 acres in Pichodi. It is being reported that disputes over land and money had occurred between the father and son previously as well. Local residents say that the accused, Chandan, had become aggressive in his behavior for some time. He was also under financial pressure, but no one expected him to take his own father’s life.
