Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived late Sunday night at the Khirsagar ground in Ujjain for the final match of the Firojiya Trophy. During this, he announced an additional cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for the winning team and Rs 51,000 for the runner-up team. The Chief Minister reached the ground around 12 midnight, where a large number of spectators were present. Seeing the crowd, he said that this scene reflects the deep attachment of Ujjain’s sports lovers. He said in a light-hearted manner that giving speeches during a game doesn’t seem right, as people come here to watch sports. CM Yadav said that such events inspire youth towards sports and provide opportunities for the state’s talents to progress. He also mentioned the modernization of other sports venues in the district. Khirsagar ground to become a modern stadium Mohan Yadav encouraged the players and announced the development of Khirsagar ground into a modern stadium. He said that such events promote sportsmanship among youth and provide a platform for local talent. Event being held for 21 years, trophy started from April 12 The Firojiya Trophy was being organized from April 12, whose final match was played on Sunday. This tournament has been organized for the past 21 years in memory of Bhurelal Firojiya, father of Ujjain MP Anil Firojiya.
