Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived late Sunday night at the Khirsagar ground in Ujjain for the final match of the Firojiya Trophy. During this, he announced an additional cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for the winning team and Rs 51,000 for the runner-up team. The Chief Minister reached the ground around 12 midnight, where a large number of spectators were present. Seeing the crowd, he said that this scene reflects the deep attachment of Ujjain’s sports lovers. He said in a light-hearted manner that giving speeches during a game doesn’t seem right, as people come here to watch sports. CM Yadav said that such events inspire youth towards sports and provide opportunities for the state’s talents to progress. He also mentioned the modernization of other sports venues in the district. He said that such events promote sportsmanship among youth and provide a platform for local talent.
