A shocking incident has come to light from Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, where a woman allegedly threw her four daughters into a well and later died by suicide. The incident happened on Wednesday night, but it came to light on Thursday afternoon. The case has been reported from Nanhi Devri Khamariya village under the Kesli police station area. Police and local authorities reached the spot after villagers informed them about the incident. The woman has been identified as Savita Bai (28), wife of Chandrabhan Lodhi. According to villagers, late on Wednesday night, she allegedly threw her four daughters into a well located near their house. The daughters have been identified as Anshika (7), Raksha (5), Diksha (3) and Manisha (5). After throwing the children into the well, the woman reportedly went back to her house and hanged herself. Authorities have started an investigation to find out the exact reason behind the incident. Husband had gone out for labor work It is reported that at the time the woman took this step, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law were sleeping at home, while her husband had gone out for labor work. As soon as the information about the incident was received, a police team reached the spot and started searching the well with the help of villagers. Police and villagers have together recovered the bodies of three girls from the well, while the search for a five-month-old infant girl is ongoing. Currently, the police have started the inquest proceedings at the spot and the entire matter is being investigated. The reason why the woman took this step initially has not yet come to light. Police say that the actual reason behind the incident will only be revealed after investigation.
