Eight teams in tournament
This tournament will have eight teams, with about 120 players coming from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Delhi and Gujarat. The organizers claim that most of these players come from poor backgrounds. Former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina, Umesh Yadav, Piyush Chawla and Mohit Sharma will serve as mentors to the teams. Additionally, Rs 500 will be set aside for every run scored in SPL and this amount will be donated to acid attack survivors. Why Indore was made the host
The organizers also said that after the tournament ends, the trophy will be taken to several pilgrimage sites in India. Indore was chosen as the host city because it has cultural significance and is located near the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain.
