Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s government, which in 2025-26 presented its first GYAN budget focusing on the poor, youth, farmers, and women, has now expanded the vision with the GYANII budget 2026-27. This year, infrastructure and industry have also been included. Over ₹3 lakh crore is expected to be spent across six key sectors, with the highest allocations for infrastructure, farmers, and women. Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented the state’s third budget on Wednesday. The total outlay for 2026-27 is ₹4,38,317 crore. For the first time, a rolling budget has been introduced, including projections for 2027-28 and 2028-29. According to the Finance Minister, this will help estimate the expenditure on various schemes. The budget also announced recruitment for 50,000 government posts. Here’s a detailed breakdown of allocations for different sectors. Now know what’s in the budget for which class Garib Kalyan(G): Over ₹15,000 crore allocated Yuva Shakti(Y): 50,000 Government Recruitment Posts Finance Minister Jagdish Devda clarified in the budget speech that the main objective of this budget is to provide “work for every hand” in the state and create new employment opportunities. This budget announces recruitment for 50,000 government positions. This includes recruitment of 22,500 positions in the police department over the next 3 years. There are plans to recruit 7,500 positions this year. Additionally, the recruitment process will be conducted for 15,000 teachers for primary, secondary and higher secondary schools. 4,485 teachers will be recruited for schools in tribal areas. Skill Development and Industrial Promotion 19,300 acres of land has been reserved for developing industrial and IT parks in the state. Additionally, a special roadmap for skill development has been prepared to connect youth with new employment opportunities. This will connect 19,000 women from tribal and rural areas with skill development and livelihood programs. A provision of 28,000 crore has been made for Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission (Rural). Annadata(A): 1.15 Lakh Crore to be Spent on Farmers The government has announced to celebrate this year as ‘Farmer Welfare Year’. Keeping this in view, several important announcements have been made for farmers. Irrigation and Infrastructure Alternative Sources of Income Besides Farming Nari Shakti(N): 1.27 lakh crore rupees in budget In this budget, provisions of 1 lakh 27 thousand 555 crore have been made for women. Sakhi residences are being constructed for working women in Ujjain, Dhar, Raisen, Bhind, Singrauli, Dewas, Narmadapuram and Jhabua. Additionally, a provision of 23,882 crore rupees has been made for the Ladli Behna scheme. Along with this, 1800 crore for Ladli Laxmi Scheme 2.0 and a new scheme Yashoda Milk Supply Scheme has been launched. Under this, 80 lakh children up to 8th class will be given tetra pack milk. In five years, 6,600 crore rupees will be spent on this scheme. This time a provision of 700 crore has been made. Industry(I): Provision of Rs. 6000 crores Several important provisions have been made to promote industry, trade and investment in the state, with the main objective of making the state an ‘industrial hub’ and creating local employment opportunities. Financial Allocation for Industrial Sector Infrastructure(I): 3000 Crore for Simhasth The budget estimates spending more than 1 lakh crore on infrastructure this year. 1. Roads and Transport 2. Urban Development and Housing 3. Water and Energy 4. Preparation for Simhasth-2028 Rs 13,851 crore has been proposed for infrastructure, transportation and facilities for devotees for the upcoming ‘Simhasth Festival’ in Ujjain. Out of this, a special provision of Rs 3,060 crore is for this financial year. 5. Rural Infrastructure A total provision of Rs 40,000 crore has been made for comprehensive development of panchayats and rural areas. This includes Rs 10,428 crore for development of gram panchayats under the ‘G RAM G’ scheme.
