Vipin Patel, a 2013-batch IFS officer of the MP cadre posted as DFO Working Plan in Jabalpur, has withdrawn his resignation. After he submitted his resignation, his wife wrote to PCCF HoFF requesting that it not be accepted, stating that her husband’s mental condition was not stable when he resigned. Following her application, the PCCF HoFF sought an explanation from Patel within three days, after which he informed the department that he wished to withdraw his resignation. Patel, who has earlier served as DFO in Rewa, Damoh, Satna, and Anuppur, had cited personal reasons for resigning. In his 4 February resignation letter to the PCCF HoFF, he had written that he was tendering an unconditional resignation from the IFS service for personal reasons and requested that it be forwarded to the competent authority for acceptance. A copy was also sent to the Forest Department Secretary. Resignation withdrawal letter submitted to Forest Department The Forest Department has received Patel’s withdrawal letter, in which he stated that he had taken the step in haste and that his mental state at the time was not stable. He is currently posted as DFO Working Plan in Jabalpur. The department had earlier emailed him seeking clarification within three days, warning that otherwise a unilateral decision could be taken to accept his resignation. Complaints in Lokayukta in Sagar, remained controversial in Satna, Anuppur IFS officer Vipin Patel was controversial in Satna and Anuppur. A complaint was also filed against him with the Sagar Lokayukta police. Patel had issued a controversial order during his tenure as Anuppur DFO. Which was opposed across the state. The order issued by him stated that the higher positions given to forest workers in his jurisdiction have been immediately cancelled. The order also stated that all staff members will return to work in their original positions. The order was given by DFO Vipin Patel on November 4. After this, MP Employees Forum wrote a letter to the CM opposing it. Actually, on October 15, the Forest Department issued an order stating that due to the implementation of the 2025 promotion order, employees will return to their original posts. Therefore, if new employees are given higher responsibilities now, it will create complications in promotion cases. Hence, the administration cancels the previous directives regarding higher responsibilities. On this matter, Ashok Pandey, the state president of the Employee Forum, had said that no forest division has issued such an order. The Anuppur DFO is also not authorized for this. Only CCF Shahdol has the authority to issue such orders. He alleged that the DFO had been in controversies even while serving in Sagar and Satna. After complaints in Sagar, an investigation is pending with the Lokayukt.
