The Indore police have arrested the main accused, Piyush Dhanotiya, in the murder of a 25-year-old MBA student in Dwarkapuri. Police traced the suspect’s location to Goa, where he was using the victim’s mobile. Teams were immediately deployed, and the accused was intercepted on a train traveling from Goa to Maharashtra while still using the deceased student’s phone. Indore police teams had left for the operation late Friday evening. Accused fled after murder According to reports, the suspect was last seen leaving his room around 8 pm on the night of February 10, following the murder. His movements were tracked to different locations afterward. It is believed that he killed the student that night and continued using her phone thereafter. At around 11 pm, the accused sent a message from the victim’s phone to her sister, stating: “Tell Papa she won’t be coming home anymore.” Following this, the family contacted her friends but could not get any information. Objectionable videos made viral Police investigation revealed that the accused had shared 11 objectionable videos of the victim in a college group and later uploaded them on her WhatsApp status. He also sent the videos to all contacts saved on her phone, creating panic among her relatives. Upon receiving the information, the family went to Pandharinath police station. The police also questioned the accused’s father, while the investigation continued. Room Found Locked On Thursday night, investigating officer Gokul Malviya reached the accused’s room, which was found locked. The police asked the landlord to place another lock and monitored the premises. Family in Shock The victim’s younger sister’s health deteriorated after the incident, and she lost consciousness several times. The family said the victim had planned to inform them about the accused earlier but had waited until his family would agree. Police stated that the accused did not want to continue the relationship, which led to this horrific crime. Continuous pressure was applied by the authorities to secure his arrest.
