On Bhind Road in Gwalior, two youths dragged a retired soldier on the bonnet of their car for nearly 500 metres following a minor collision. They then threw him onto the road and fled. The incident took place on Saturday night near DD Nagar chowk. A 16-second video of the incident has also surfaced. According to police, the retired soldier, Kalyan Kishore Kant Sharma, resides in Ganesh Colony, Adityapuram. Around 11 pm, he was returning home with his brother-in-law, Avadhesh Sharma, from Prestige College. Near Adityaj Hotel, their car collided with another vehicle (MP 07 ZL-8545). After the collision, the two youths in the other car got out and started verbally abusing them. When the retired soldier and his brother-in-law protested, they were physically assaulted. Retired Soldier Ends Up on Car Bonnet As a crowd began to gather, the accused tried to drive away. Kalyan Kishore Sharma stood in front of the vehicle to stop it. Instead of halting, the youths hit the car, causing him to fly onto the bonnet. He was dragged for nearly 500 metres while hanging onto the car. Thrown Onto Road and Attackers Flee After covering some distance, the accused suddenly applied the brakes, causing the retired soldier to fall onto the road. The attackers then fled the scene. The victims immediately informed the police and later registered a complaint at Maharajpura police station that night. A case has been filed based on the report of the injured brother-in-law. Police stated that the identities of the accused are being verified using the video footage, and the vehicle number is being used to trace them.
