January 24 and 25 were very special days for Chhatarpur’s international women cricketer Kranti Gaur and her family. On these two days, Kranti bought her dream car, a Mahindra Thar, and her father, Munnalal Gaur, returned to police service after nearly 14 years. Kranti said the Thar was her long-time dream car and added that her next aim is to buy a BMW. On the same day, Munnalal Gaur reported for duty at the Police Line in Chhatarpur. He had been suspended in 2012 and was recently reinstated. ASP Chhatarpur IPS Aditya Patle confirmed his return to service and said his new posting will be decided by the SP. Kranti thanked the Chief Minister and said he helped ensure her father got his job back after she returned home as a World Cup winner. I say this not only for cricket but for every sport: whatever you do, do it with full hard work and dedication.” Kranti Gaur: Chhatarpur’s International Women’s Cricket Star Kranti Gaur, a 22-year-old young fast bowler from Ghurwara village in Chhatarpur district, has achieved a significant position in the Indian women’s cricket team through her hard work and passion. Kranti was born on August 11, 2003. In her childhood, she used to play local tennis-ball cricket and also worked as a “ball boy” on the field. While playing on rural pitches, she developed fast and swing bowling. In the initial days, she faced a lack of resources and coaching, but coach Rajiv Bilthare supported her by providing free training, jerseys, and shoes. Kranti, playing for the Madhya Pradesh Senior Women’s team, delivered a brilliant bowling performance of 4/25 in the final of the One-Day Championship in the 2024-25 season. Subsequently, she was bought by UP Warriors in WPL 2025. In May 2025, she made her ODI debut against Sri Lanka and T20I debut during the England tour. Her performance of 6/52 in the third ODI in England was an exciting moment in her career. She played a crucial role in helping India win the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 for the first time and also became the ‘Player of the Match’ by taking 3 wickets against Pakistan.
