Incidents of molestation and assault continue at Morena’s Pashupatinath Mahadev fair. On Friday evening, around 4 PM, some people assaulted a couple who had come to the fair with their child. The man was suddenly caught and beaten, and when his wife tried to intervene, she was also slapped. Their child kept crying as the parents were assaulted, but no one came forward to help. This is the third such assault incident reported at the fair in January. The video of the assault surfaced on Saturday. Kotwali TI Amit Bhadoria said that a complainant is required to trace the incident, as police cannot act until someone comes forward. He added that police patrolling at the fair will be increased. Meanwhile, residents say molestation and assault incidents have become common at the fair, but there is a lack of police and administrative presence. Sudden attack on youth at the fair The video that has surfaced shows the couple walking with their daughter at the fair. Suddenly, some people arrive there and start beating the young man. The young man, trying to save himself, shouts “Nandini-Nandini”. Hearing the voice, his wife Nandini clings to him to save him. Seeing this, the accused also start slapping Nandini. Seeing her parents struggling, the child starts crying. But no one helps. Molestation and assault had happened before On January 6, five young women had gone to visit the fair.
