The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has increased the fee for issuing an Aadhaar PVC card. Applicants will now have to pay ₹75 instead of the earlier ₹50. The revised charges came into effect from January 1, 2026. According to UIDAI, the fee hike has been implemented due to rising costs of raw materials, printing, and secure delivery. Only PVC cards issued directly by UIDAI are considered official.
