Silver on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, has reached its all-time high. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of one kilogram of silver has increased by Rs 7,725 to reach Rs 2,44,788. Previously, its price was Rs 2,37,063 per kilogram. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has increased by Rs 741 to reach Rs 1,36,909. Earlier it was at Rs 1,36,168. Gold had reached its all-time high of Rs 1,38,161 on December 29, 2025. Kedia Advisory Director Ajay Kedia says that silver demand is currently strong and is expected to remain so. In this scenario, silver could reach Rs 2.75 lakh this year. As for gold, its demand also remains strong. At this rate, it could cross Rs 1.50 lakh per 10 grams by the end of this year.
