BJP leader caught threatening rape survivor on video:Claims, ‘Nothing will happen to me’; faces allegations of sexual assault at knifepoint

In Rampurbaghelan of Satna district, a BJP leader is accused of raping a woman at knifepoint and making an objectionable video. The victim alleges that the BJP leader was pressuring her to have physical relations again by threatening to viral the video. When she complained, the accused started threatening her. A video of the accused threatening has surfaced. On Friday, a video went viral on social media, in which the accused can allegedly be heard abusing a police officer and saying, What will happen to me? Nothing will happen. Complain wherever you want, nothing will happen to me. During this, the victim can be heard crying and talking about filing a complaint. The victim stated that after this incident, the accused approached her again on December 20 and molested her. Considering the seriousness of the complaint, the Superintendent of Police had assigned the responsibility of the investigation to DSP (Headquarters) Manoj Trivedi on the same day. The accused Ashok Singh is also a BJP leader in the Nagar Panchayat. The victim has also alleged in her complaint that Ashok Singh is a person with criminal tendencies and has been externed from the district in the past. SP handed over investigation to DSP
