A wave of intense cold and dense fog persists in Madhya Pradesh, with the entire northern region covered by fog. On Sunday, dense to moderate fog was reported in half of the state, including Gwalior-Chambal, while Kalyanpur in Shahdol recorded the coldest temperature in the state. The minimum temperature here on Saturday–Sunday night was 3.4°C. On Monday morning, fog affected 16 districts, also causing delays for trains arriving from Delhi. An active western disturbance has moved across the Himalayan region, bringing cold winds again. Snowfall is being reported in Gulmarg and Sonamarg in Kashmir. The weather has also changed in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, with cold winds from these areas reaching Madhya Pradesh, increasing the chill in the cities.
