Thereafter, they were transferred to Allahabad High Court. Recently, Justice Atul Sreedharan made several sharp remarks while taking suo motu cognizance of the Damoh foot washing incident. During the hearing, he had said, Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra – all are claiming their independent identity. If this is not controlled, within one and a half centuries, people who call themselves Hindu will fight among themselves and cease to exist. Justice Atul Sreedharan severely reprimanded Damoh SP Shrutkirti Somvanshi, who joined virtually in the hearing, for applying weak sections in the case.
