On Wednesday afternoon, at Khujner Community Health Center in Rajgarh, Dr. Vishal Sisodia was brutally attacked by a patient’s relatives. He suffered serious head injuries and needed 20 stitches. After the attack, the hospital staff stopped work. Relatives enraged over crowd reduction The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 PM. Dr. Sisodia arrived to take rounds in the maternity ward. He observed a crowd of relatives with a woman named Payal Verma, a resident of Sedri. When the doctor asked them to leave, the woman’s husband, brother-in-law, and other relatives became enraged and started assaulting him. Repeated blows to the head with a stethoscope It is alleged that the attackers snatched the doctor’s stethoscope and repeatedly struck him on the head. The doctor was covered in blood and somehow managed to inform the police. Following this, chaos erupted in the hospital. Anger among staff, work stopped Hospital staff stated that incidents of assault on doctors have occurred at Khujner Hospital before, but no strict action was taken. This time too, neither the CMHO nor any senior official reached the spot until late evening, which increased resentment among the staff. Doctor referred to Shajapur, FIR registered Dr. Sisodia received primary treatment for two hours. Later, he was referred to Shajapur District Hospital. The police have registered a case based on the complaint of the victim doctor.
