The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa with the first Test set to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata starting on November 14. The squad is majorly along expected lines with Shubman Gill at the helm of affairs. Rishabh Pant’s return to the Indian side headlines the 15-member squad. Notably, the wicketkeeper-batter had sustained a fracture to his right foot during India’s tour of England. Pant’s inclusion means Narayan Jagadeesan, who was part of the Indian squad for the West Indies Tests at home, makes way for him.
