Bhopal businessman shot after warning local goon:Stalked him for days, fired through window in drunken rage, arrested with pistol and ganja

A businessman residing in Bhopal’s Gautam Nagar area was shot by a local goon. The accused had been staking out the businessman for four days. Four days prior, the complainant had stopped him from standing in front of his house. The accused youth was upset about this. After this incident, the accused also beat up another youth. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, while the accused youth was arrested on Thursday. Police have registered two separate cases against him for attempted murder and assault. The goon has also been arrested. According to TI Mahendra Singh Thakur, 48-year-old Sadiq Khan lives in Rambha Nagar. The accused, Salman alias Nasha Danger, lives in Eitkhedi. He used to live in their area. Even after leaving the locality, he still frequents here. He carries a country-made pistol (katta) with him. The accused also used to scare children in the area by showing them the katta and sell them ganja. Because of this, Sajid and his son had reprimanded Salman four days ago. They had forbidden him from standing near their house, and because of this, the accused started holding a grudge against the father-son duo. Shot by aiming through the window The accused continuously stalked the father and son for four days. During this time, Sajid and his son were not seen by him in the locality. On Wednesday night, seeing Sajid sitting in his room, Salman aimed at his head through the window. However, after missing the target, the bullet passed through Sajid’s shoulder. His condition remains critical at Hamidia Hospital. His surgery is scheduled for today. Accused said – took revenge for the insult Accused Salman already has 10 cases registered against him, including attempted murder, assault, extortion, and theft. He revealed during police interrogation that he had aimed at Sajid’s head with the intention of killing him. Due to being heavily intoxicated, the aim was missed. Sajid and his son had misbehaved with him four days ago. He committed the crime to take revenge for this.
