A farmer was brutally attacked and killed in Guna over a land dispute. Fifteen people assaulted him with sticks and a vehicle. His family members, including women and teenage daughters, were also injured. The incident has sparked outrage in the village, and police have registered a case. Attack on farmer and family On Sunday afternoon, in Ganeshpur village under Fatehgarh police station, Ramswaroop Nagar (40) was attacked by a group of 15 people. They beat him severely with sticks. When his wife Vinod Bai Nagar (38) and daughters Krishna Nagar (17) and Tanisha Nagar (17), along with his brother Rajendra Nagar (50), tried to intervene, they were also assaulted. According to the victim’s daughter, the attackers ran over her father with a Thar vehicle and even tore the clothes of the teenage girls. Ramswaroop died at the district hospital before he could be referred to Bhopal. Land dispute behind attack Family members said the attack was over a dispute concerning 6 bigha of land. The parties had earlier reached a compromise at the police station. However, the dispute reignited on Sunday when Ramswaroop went to the field. FIR filed and investigation underway The family has filed an FIR against 10–15 people, including Mahendra, Jitendra, Kanhaiyalal, Lokesh, and Naveen. Police have registered a case and are investigating. Victim’s family demands strict action The villagers and family members have expressed anger over the brutal murder. They demand the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action against them. Police search for accused SDOP Vivek Asthana said the attack was due to a land dispute in Ganeshpur village. He confirmed that Ramswaroop was severely injured and died during treatment at the district hospital. The police are actively searching for the accused.
