A sanitation worker was brutally beaten to death with a stick on Wednesday morning in the Sindhi Camp area of Khurai, Bina. The deceased has been identified as Deepak Pathrol (38), a resident of Shastri Ward. Following the incident, municipal workers staged a protest, placing the body on the road at Parsa Tiraha, demanding immediate action. Incident details The tragic incident occurred around 8:30 AM when Deepak Pathrol was performing his daily sanitation duties in the Sindhi Camp area. A dispute reportedly broke out between him and a youth named Akshay Sindhi. Akshay allegedly attacked Deepak with a stick, causing fatal injuries to his head. Deepak succumbed to the injuries on the spot. See 2 pictures… Protest by Municipal workers Outraged by the murder, municipal sanitation staff immediately organized a protest demanding the swift arrest and strict punishment of the accused. They blocked the road at Parsa Tiraha, parking municipal garbage-laden vehicles on both sides to obstruct traffic. The protesters stated that their demonstration would continue until the accused is apprehended and severely punished. Police response In response, additional police forces were deployed to maintain law and order in the Sindhi Camp area. SDM Manoj Chaurasia, CMO Rajesh Mehetele, and Khurai police officials arrived at the scene. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while the accused is being actively searched for.
