A young man was shot dead in Nimkheda village under Malthon police station in Bina late Tuesday night, October 14. The deceased has been identified as Shubham Dangi, 28, a resident of Nimkheda. Attack over alleged affair According to police sources, Shubham was accused of having an illicit relationship with his cousin’s wife. His cousin, Surendra Singh Dangi, along with his two sons, a woman, and another accomplice, allegedly attacked Shubham. The assailants first beat him with sticks and then shot him. After shooting, the accused reportedly severed Shubham’s head by cutting his neck. Brother injured while trying to intervene During the attack, Shubham’s brother, Ranveer Dangi, arrived at the scene to intervene. He was also shot, and the bullet pierced his stomach. Ranveer was immediately admitted to the hospital, where he remains in serious condition. Murder case registered Following the incident, SDOP Khurai Sachin Parte and Station In-Charge Ashok Yadav, along with police personnel, reached the scene. They took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem. A murder case has been registered against Surendra Singh Dangi and the other accused, and the investigation is ongoing. Background of dispute Police officials stated that Shubham had a long-standing dispute with his elder cousin, Surendra Singh Dangi, over suspicions regarding the illicit relationship. Earlier, in August, Surendra had also filed a missing person report for his wife. The investigation continues to determine the full circumstances surrounding the murder.
