After the death of a 45-year-old man in Ashoknagar, his family members and villagers blocked the road by placing the body on it. The family alleges that 8 policemen caught and beat him. They repeatedly drowned him in water and then left. They came back after two hours and took him to the hospital. By then, he had already died. The incident is from Bamuriya village, under Shadhaura police station area of the district. The family first created a ruckus at the hospital. After this, they blocked the road at the bus stand. The family is protesting, demanding an FIR against everyone involved. Upon receiving information about the incident, SDOP Vivek Sharma also reached the spot and assessed the situation. Meanwhile, SP Rajiv Mishra line-attached Head Constables Nitin Yadav, Vishnu Dhakad, Sanjeev Sahu, and Shahrukh, who were found prima facie guilty in the case. The deceased has been identified as Lakhan son of Laxman Singh Yadav (45). Arjun Singh said that my brother Lakhan was sitting with some friends in the village late Thursday evening, when eight policemen arrived there, some in uniform and some in civil dress.
