A case has come to light in Mauganj where a 24-year-old youth was beaten, stripped naked, and paraded around the village. The accused also verbally abused him. He was tied with a rope in the forest and held captive for several hours. The victim somehow managed to escape from there and went to Prayagraj. The incident, which took place in the Hanumana police station area, is a month and a half old. Its video surfaced on Saturday. Following this, the victim youth lodged a report at Hanumana police station. Based on the victim’s complaint, the police registered a case and arrested three accused. According to the victim, the incident took place on August 26 between 9 and 10 AM. Lalmani Kushwaha, Sonu alias Sohanlal Kushwaha, Anil Kushwaha, and Sunil Kushwaha had demanded 1200 rupees for drinking alcohol. When he refused to give the money, they assaulted him. They also made a video of it. The accused threatened that if he complained to the police, they would kill him. Family members informed when the video went viral
The victim stated that after the video went viral on Friday, his family members informed him about it. Following this, he arrived here on Saturday. In the afternoon, a complaint was lodged against the accused at the police station. SP said – Search for the fourth accused
Superintendent of Police Dilip Kumar Soni stated that considering the seriousness of the incident, an FIR has been registered. Police have arrested three accused, while the search for the fourth accused is ongoing. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
