On Thursday (September 25) in Shajapur, Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said, “Today’s opposition leaders kiss their young sisters in the middle of the road. I want to ask you, who among you would kiss your young sister or daughter in public? This shows a lack of values. Such behaviour belongs to foreign culture.” After his statement caused an uproar, Vijayvargiya clarified: “I also kiss my sister on the head. I am not questioning the sanctity of relationships. I was talking about Indian and foreign culture.” Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah supported Kailash Vijayvargiya’s statement, saying, “Even if someone’s own sister is involved, like MLA Kanchan Tanwe’s sister, would I publicly kiss her? This is not taught in Indian culture or civilisation.” He further remarked that people should try it themselves to understand that Indian culture, traditions, and customs do not encourage such behaviour publicly. Congress plans protest The Congress party announced a protest at Vijayvargiya’s residence against his statement. PCC Chief Jitu Patwari said in Khargone: “The kind of unpleasant remark made by Kailash Vijayvargiya challenges India’s culture, traditions, and the brother-sister relationship. A minister with a distorted mindset should resign.” Vijayvargiya clarifies statement On Friday in Bhopal, Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said he was speaking about foreign and Indian culture. He clarified: I am not questioning the sanctity of any relationship. In Indian culture, all relationships are sacred. But there is a decorum in relationships, and I am talking about that. What I said refers to what happens abroad. We do not have such a culture here. He added, You are a journalist. Do you embrace your sister in the middle of the road? My relationship with my sister is one of love. I also kiss my sister’s head. I am not questioning the sanctity of the relationship. If you had listened to my entire speech, this question would not have arisen. I was talking about Indian and foreign cultures. Vijayvargiya further said that reporting his speech in pieces is not good journalism Jitu Patwari demands resignation of Vijayvargiya after controversial comments Madhya Pradesh PCC Chief Jitu Patwari has demanded the resignation of Kailash Vijayvargiya following his recent remarks. Patwari said he appeals to BJP workers, leaders, and citizens across the country and state that if people with such a distorted mindset come to power, how will the culture and family values of this nation be protected? According to Patwari, Vijayvargiya’s comments were not about Rahul Gandhi but about India’s ancient culture and civilisation. Patwari added that Vijayvargiya wanted to become Chief Minister but was not made one. He said Vijayvargiya is now 70 years old, meaning he is elderly. Since he did not become CM, he has “gone mad” and is making such statements. Patwari wished that Vijayvargiya receives good sense from the Goddess. Vijayvargiya made these remarks during a programme in Shajapur on Thursday (September 25). He said, “We are people of the old culture. In our sisters’ village Jeerapur, they do not even drink water freely. My father used to bring water in a pot from home. Today, our opposition leaders are such that they kiss their young sisters in the middle of a crossroads. I want to ask you, who among you would kiss your young sister or daughter in public? This shows a lack of values. These are foreign cultural habits. It is not their fault; they grew up abroad and have experienced such customs. They even speak informally to the Prime Minister.” Pictures of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi… Post navigation Youth commits suicide after making charges against 2 women:Makes video before hanging, alleges Sania-Anish target Hindu girls; violence erupts after highway blockade AIIMS Bhopal gives new lease of life to construction worker:Metal rod pierced through latter’s chest in Harda; doctors perform 90-minute surgery on him
