In a major boost for farmers, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the reimplementation of the Bhavantar Scheme for soybean crops. The scheme ensures that farmers will be compensated if their produce sells below the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Speaking at a public gathering in Jaishinagar, Surkhi Assembly constituency, CM Yadav said, “If soybean prices fall below the MSP, the state government will cover the losses under this scheme. No farmer will incur a single rupee of loss.” He further stated that the MSP for soybean has been set above Rs 53,05,328, and the government will ensure farmers across the state receive this rate or more through the Bhavantar scheme. Additionally, farmers will get a bonus if the market price is below the MSP—guaranteeing fair returns for their crops. Jaishinagar renamed ‘Jai Shivnagar’ and upgraded to municipal council CM Yadav also announced that Jaishinagar will be renamed Jai Shivnagar, following the formal proposal and approval process. Furthermore, he declared that the town will be upgraded to a municipal council, marking a step forward in local governance and infrastructure development. Clean and sustainable energy is now accessible from farm to grid.” The Chief Minister highlighted the launch of the Single Window Portal, which will provide approvals and NOCs efficiently. Through this initiative, clean gas and piped energy connections will reach households, while investors are encouraged to establish Madhya Pradesh as a green energy hub. Criticism of Congress and support for cattle welfare Taking a dig at the opposition, CM Yadav said, “While Congress talks about beef and cattle, our government has strengthened laws to protect cows. No cow will be harmed, and gaushalas have increased.” He added, “Congress never focused on dairy or rural development. We continue to prioritize women, children, and farmers over political debates.” Infrastructure and Development Announcements Cabinet Minister Govind Singh Rajput, addressing the gathering, discussed multiple developmental initiatives: The CM and ministers reviewed departmental exhibitions covering agriculture, horticulture, women and child development, and panchayati raj, distributing benefits directly to eligible beneficiaries. CM’s vision: From food providers to energy providers Concluding his address, CM Yadav reinforced the government’s focus on empowering farmers, daughters, and rural communities. “Through the Kusum Scheme and Bhavantar Scheme, we are ensuring sustainable income, energy independence, and economic growth for every citizen in Madhya Pradesh,” he said.
