A CRPF constable, Tamil Selvan, was arrested in Chennai for beheading his wife in Tuticorin district due to suspicions of infidelity. After murdering Uma Maheshwari, he surrendered his children to his father-in-law and fled. Seeking to publicly discuss the crime, he approached a news channel, whose staff alerted the police, leading to his capture.
