102 festival special trains to operate during Diwali and Dussehra:Ticket reservations begin today; know the timings route details

Railways will operate 102 festive special trains to manage the rush during Diwali and Dussehra. Ticket bookings for these special trains have opened from today. Passengers will have to pay special charges to travel on them. Operating between 10 October and 24 November, these special trains will improve connectivity between cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, Latur, Kolhapur and Kalaburagi. Tickets for these trains can be booked through the IRCTC app and official website (irctc.co.in), railway reservation centres and the RailOne app. Mumbai–Chennai Weekly Special A weekly special train will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Mumbai, and Chennai. It will make 6 trips in each direction between October 15 and November 19. The Chennai–CSMT Mumbai Special will depart every Thursday at 4:00 AM and arrive in Mumbai at 4:00 AM the following day. Major stops: Dadar, Thane, Pune, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Guntakal, Renigunta, and Perambur. CSMT Mumbai–Latur This train will operate twice a week between Mumbai and Latur. It will make 13 trips in each direction between October 13 and November 24. The CSMT Mumbai–Latur Special will depart Mumbai every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:35 AM and arrive in Latur at 11:40 AM the same day. On the return journey, the Latur–CSMT Mumbai Special will depart at 4:30 PM on the same days and reach Mumbai at 4:10 AM the following day. Major stops: Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Kurduwadi, and Dharashiv. Kolhapur–Kalaburagi Special This train will operate 6 days a week, except Friday, between Kolhapur and Kalaburagi. It will make 32 trips in each direction. The Kolhapur–Kalaburagi Special will operate from October 10 to November 15, departing Kolhapur at 6:10 AM and arriving in Kalaburagi at 4:10 PM. On the return journey, the train will depart Kalaburagi at 6:10 PM and reach Kolhapur at 5:40 AM the following day. Major stops: Miraj Junction, Sangola, Pandharpur, Kurduwadi, and Solapur.
