The Indian stock market was trading higher on Monday, July 27, with strong buying in FMCG, IT and media stocks. The Sensex rose over 700 points to 76,761.53 around noon. The index opened at 76,609, compared with its previous close of 76,060. The Nifty also gained 200 points, trading at around 23,967.45. Brent crude falls 4% to $93/barrel Brent crude prices fell around 4% to $93 per barrel on Monday amid signs of easing tensions between the US, Israel and Iran. However, experts warned that a further escalation in tensions could push crude oil prices to $120 per barrel. A sharp rise in crude prices could also impact petrol and diesel prices in India.
