In a near-death escape, a motorcyclist was attacked by a leopard in the Bicholi Mardana area under the Kanadia police station limits in Indore district on Tuesday night. The dramatic incident was captured on CCTV, which shows the leopard suddenly charging at the passing biker. The incident occurred at around 8:30 PM, prompting an immediate response from the police and the Forest Department. Fortunately, the motorcyclist escaped unharmed. Leopard reportedly attacked passing biker According to eyewitnesses, the leopard suddenly appeared in the populated area and attempted to attack a man riding a motorcycle through the locality. The rider narrowly escaped, and locals immediately alerted the police. CCTV footage being examined After receiving the information, Kanadia Police reached the spot and began scanning CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the leopard’s movement. Police have also issued alerts in surrounding villages and residential colonies, advising residents to remain cautious. Forest Department launches search operation The Forest Department’s rescue team has been deployed to capture the animal safely. According to police, the leopard moved towards a nearby village after the incident. Rescue teams are conducting a search operation to locate and safely capture the animal. Residents advised to stay indoors As a precautionary measure, two police vehicles have been deployed to patrol the area continuously. Authorities have appealed to residents to avoid stepping out at night, remain vigilant, and immediately inform the police or the Forest Department if they spot the leopard or notice any suspicious movement.
