According to police, three unidentified men arrived on a scooter and hurled multiple crude Sutli bombs (crude bombs) outside the office before fleeing the scene. The incident reportedly took place between 2 am and 2:30 AM. Police reached the spot after receiving information and recovered explosive residue during the preliminary investigation. Employee alleges extortion bid behind attack Ashok Mishra, an employee at liquor trader Ashish Shivhare’s office, alleged that some individuals had been pressuring the businessman for extortion money for some time. He claimed the attack was linked to the ongoing dispute over the alleged extortion demands. Second blast-related incident in 24 hours The latest incident comes just a day after another crude bomb attack in which allegations were levelled against the same liquor trader. On Thursday night, crude bombs were allegedly thrown at the residence of Radheshyam Mehra in Ayushidhara Colony under the Tilwara police station limits. The attack damaged Mehra’s Mahindra Thar, another car and the windows of his house. Counter-allegations surface Following Thursday’s incident, Mehra filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Police’s office, alleging that the attack had been orchestrated by Ashish Shivhare. His family also claimed they suspected that gunshots had been fired during the incident. Police scanning CCTV footage With two blast-related incidents reported within 24 hours, police have intensified their investigation. Separate cases have been registered by the Gorakhpur and Tilwara police stations. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from Ratan Colony, Ayushidhara Colony, and nearby areas to identify the suspects. Police said efforts are underway to trace the attackers based on the surveillance footage, while the back-to-back incidents have created fear among local residents.
