man-kills-son’s-murderer’s-father-for-revenge:six-accused-chased-and-beat-victim-to-death-before-escaping

A 42-year-old man was allegedly murdered in a brutal revenge attack in Mandsaur district, with police suspecting the killing was linked to the murder of the accused’s son earlier this year. The victim, identified as Ravi Mali, was allegedly attacked by six men armed with knives and iron rods in a flower field near Abhinandan Colony. The assailants allegedly fled after leaving him critically injured. Police said the victim suffered multiple deep injuries, and evidence at the scene suggested he had been chased and dragged before being killed. Bloodstains and drag marks were found around the field. Police and forensic team reach crime scene After receiving information on Saturday morning, a Dial-112 team and personnel from the City Kotwali police station rushed to the spot. A forensic team collected evidence from the crime scene, although police said no weapons or other incriminating materials were recovered. City Kotwali Station House Officer Pushpendra Singh Rathore said police had received information about an injured man lying in the Abhinandan area. Ravi was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to the officer, the murder was allegedly carried out using knives and iron rods. Police are investigating all possible angles, including longstanding personal enmity, and have formed teams to trace the accused. The accused fled immediately after the attack. Protests after murder News of the killing sparked outrage among Ravi Mali’s relatives and members of the Mali community. A large number of people gathered outside the City Kotwali police station and staged a sit-in protest at Gandhi Chowk for nearly three hours. The protest ended after Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ter Singh Baghel assured the demonstrators that strict action would be taken. Family demands bulldozer action and compensation Local resident Pankaj Charodiya said the protesters demanded demolition of the accused’s alleged illegal properties, a public procession of the accused, a magisterial inquiry into the case, and adequate financial compensation for Ravi Mali’s family. ASP Ter Singh Baghel said police had registered a case under relevant legal provisions. The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination, and the demands raised by the family were discussed. He said the investigation was progressing on all fronts and that further action would be based on the findings. Police suspect revenge motive Police believe the murder was driven by an old rivalry and a desire for revenge. On the night of April 5–6, 19-year-old Arun Bargunda was stabbed to death near Gandhi Chowk. In that case, police arrested Ravi Mali’s son Yuvraj and his associate Rohit Chauhan, both of whom are currently in judicial custody. Investigators had earlier found that the dispute stemmed from an altercation nearly eight months before the murder, during which Arun allegedly slapped Yuvraj during an argument near a local tea stall. Previous murder led to fresh attack According to the earlier investigation, Yuvraj allegedly later called Arun under the pretext of settling their dispute before fatally stabbing him. Police now suspect that Arun’s father, grieving the loss of his son, planned the killing of Ravi Mali in retaliation. The investigation is ongoing, and police are searching for the remaining accused.
