An attempted robbery at a Bank of India branch on Parasia Road in Chhindwara was foiled on Saturday afternoon after local residents alerted the police. One accused has been arrested, while a search is underway for his accomplice. According to police, the bank was closed when the accused arrived with the intention of committing a robbery. They allegedly tried to create panic by using a rope bomb to execute their plan. Locals alert police, catch one accused People in the area noticed the suspects’ suspicious movements and immediately informed the police. They also managed to catch one of the accused before officers reached the spot. Accused attacks man with sharp weapon While trying to escape, the accused allegedly attacked a local resident, identified as Narayan Baghel, with a sharp weapon, injuring his hand. Despite the attack, locals overpowered him and handed him over to the police. Narayan Baghel received primary treatment for his injuries. Police probe conspiracy, search for second accused The arrested accused has been taken to Kotwali police station, where he is being questioned to determine the full conspiracy behind the attempted robbery. Police teams are conducting searches to trace and arrest the second accused, who remains absconding.
