A Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting will be held on Thursday to consider the induction of nine Madhya Pradesh State Police Service officers into the IPS. The meeting was scheduled after the Union Public Service Commission approved a proposal from the Home Department. The Chief Secretary, DGP and UPSC representatives will attend. The Home Department’s IPS promotion process is moving ahead of the General Administration Department, which has yet to send a proposal for the DPC of State Administrative Service officers. This year’s DPC will consider officers from the 1997 and 1998 batches. A total of 27 officers are in the zone of consideration, including Sitaram Sasatya and Amrit Meena (1997 batch), and Nimisha Pandey, Rajesh Mishra, Malay Jain, Amit Saxena, Manisha Soni, Suman Gurjar, Sandeep Mishra, Sabyasachi Sarraf, Samar Verma and Satyendra Singh Tomar from the 1998 batch. Their promotion may get stuck Among these, the DPC may get stalled due to Amrit Meena’s caste certificate and Rajesh Mishra’s departmental inquiry, and their envelopes may be sealed. In the final round, due to a complaint regarding Sitaram Sasatya’s name, it is also being speculated that his name might be removed from the DPC.
