A 15-year-old boy had an injection needle stuck in his hip during treatment at the Dewas District Hospital. The incident occurred when he was brought to the hospital after complaining of neck pain. According to family members, Samaksh, son of Raghuveer Songara, was taken to the hospital on Monday for treatment. While an injection was being administered in the emergency ward, nearly 4 to 5 centimetres of the needle broke off and remained inside his hip. Hospital staff and doctors tried to remove the needle immediately, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The boy was later taken to Indore, where the needle was successfully removed through surgery. Could not be removed even after trying At the district hospital, an operation was performed for about one and a half hours to try and remove the needle, and other tests including X-rays were also conducted. However, the needle could not be removed. After this, the teenager was given stitches and referred to Indore. After reaching Indore, on Tuesday, a team of specialist doctors successfully removed the needle stuck in the teenager’s hip after an hour-long operation. After this incident, the family members felt relieved.
