Just a day before her death, Constable Nisha Sharma had spoken to her father and assured him that everything was fine. But on Tuesday morning, the 29-year-old police constable was found dead in her government quarter after allegedly hanging herself with a bedsheet tied to a ceiling fan. Her father, Ashok Kumar Sharma, a resident of Ashoknagar, recalled their last conversation and broke down while speaking about his daughter. He said Nisha had always been dedicated to her work and was proud of becoming a police officer. He remembered how enthusiastic she was after joining the force and how committed she remained to her duties. According to police, Nisha Sharma died by suicide on Tuesday (June 9).
