brother-dies-in-accident-hours-before-sister’s-bidaai-in-chhatarpur:14-year-old-killed-after-bike-crashes-into-buffalo-while-fetching-breakfast

Wedding celebrations in Chhatarpur turned into mourning after the bride’s 14-year-old brother, Bhim Ahirwar, died in a road accident. While the wedding ritual was scheduled for Tuesday morning, the family instead began preparations for the boy’s funeral. According to the information, the wedding of Vandana, daughter of Chetram Ahirwar, was taking place in Bagmau village under the Lavkushnagar police station area. The wedding procession arrived on Monday night, and preparations for the seven vows and farewell were underway when disposable plates and glasses for guests ran short. According to family members, Bhim went to a village shop on his motorcycle to bring supplies. While returning, his bike collided with a buffalo that suddenly came onto the road near the fields. The impact threw him onto the road, leaving him critically injured. Family alleges no doctor was present at hospital After the incident, family members immediately took him to Lavkushnagar Hospital. The family alleges that no doctor was present at the hospital at that time. Only first aid could be provided for about an hour. As his condition worsened, family members took him in a private ambulance to Chhatarpur District Hospital, about 65 km away, where doctors declared him dead. Only brother of four sisters Bhim was the only brother of four sisters in the family. One of the elder daughters of the family had already passed away. He had recently passed his 10th-grade examination and was preparing for further studies. Wedding joy turns into mourning As soon as the news of the accident was received, the wedding rituals were stopped. The house where shehnais were echoing all night, fell silent just a few hours later. When the body reached home after the post-mortem, a wave of grief spread throughout the village. Family members say that if better treatment and ambulance facilities had been available on time, Bhim’s life could perhaps have been saved.
