A controversy has erupted at the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple after a man dressed in a style resembling a character from the film Pushpa was allegedly granted VIP access to the shrine. Following an inquiry into the incident, the temple administration has removed a supervisor from his post. According to viral videos, the man entered the temple wearing a sari and blouse, anklets, bangles, earrings, a nose ring, and garlands, including a lemon garland. The footage has triggered questions about security arrangements and adherence to temple rules. Temple staff allegedly facilitated VIP Darshan Reports suggest that the visitor was not treated as an ordinary devotee but was provided special access within the temple premises. In the viral videos, the man can be seen moving through different sections of the temple. A temple employee is also allegedly seen escorting him to Ganesh Mandapam, a facility generally associated with special-entry devotees. Photography and videography are prohibited within the temple premises, and enforcement of these restrictions is the responsibility of temple staff and security personnel. According to the footage, security personnel and temple employees not only allowed the visitor to move freely but were also seen posing for photographs with him. Inquiry conducted after video surfaced Temple Administrator Pratham Kaushik said the viral footage dates back to February 5. He stated that an internal inquiry was conducted after the videos came to light, following which the supervisor concerned was removed from his position. According to Kaushik, granting special access without authorization and permitting photography or videography inside the temple premises is contrary to the established rules and sanctity of the temple.
