60 kmph storm warning issued across parts of MP:7 districts on orange alert; rain forecast for Bhopal and Indore

Pre-monsoon showers continue to lash Madhya Pradesh ahead of the monsoon’s official arrival. Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds was recorded in more than 20 districts during the last 24 hours. Similar weather conditions are expected on Saturday. The IMD’s Meteorological Centre has issued a warning for strong winds of 40 to 60 kmph in 52 districts across the state. An orange alert has been issued for Guna, Ashoknagar, Vidisha, Sehore, Dewas, Harda and Betul districts. Meteorologist Arun Sharma said three cyclonic circulations are currently active over the state, leading to the ongoing spell of rain and strong winds. Alirajpur, Jhabua, and Ratlam may get some relief from this. Sheopur Colder than Pachmarhi, Temperature Remained 32 Degrees Due to the storm and rain, the daytime temperature in the state has dropped. On Friday, the temperature in most cities of the state remained below 40 degrees. Sheopur was even colder than Pachmarhi, the state’s only hill station. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 32 degrees. In Bhopal, there was also heavy rain with strong winds in many areas late in the evening. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Pachmarhi was 34.2 degrees Celsius. In Guna it was 35.4 degrees, in Seoni 36 degrees, in Ratlam 36.2 degrees, in Rajgarh 36.4 degrees, in Betul 36.5 degrees, in Satna 36.6 degrees, and in Dhar and Narmadapuram it was 36.9 degrees.
