7-year-old girl murdered, body found in pit in Morena:Arms tied; child who had come for wedding with father went missing at night

In Morena, a 7-year-old girl was brutally murdered. On Thursday morning at 11:30 AM, her body was found in a deserted area some distance from the village. The murderer had thrown the body into a cave-like pit to hide evidence. Both hands of the girl were tied with rope. Upon receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and took possession of the body and started investigation. The body is being sent to Kailaras Hospital for post-mortem. According to information, Balram Jatav, a resident of Itaura village in Kailaras development block, had arrived with his wife and 7-year-old daughter Tanu at a relative’s Bhaat ceremony in Ramlal Ke Pura village on Wednesday night. After the program ended at night, Balram went to sleep with his daughter Tanu. According to Balram, he was awake till 3 AM and his daughter was sleeping next to him. After 3 AM, he also fell asleep. Family members immediately started searching for her in panic. When no trace was found nearby, villagers and family members went towards the area beyond the settlement. There, Tanu’s body was found lying in a cave-like pit located in a deserted area. Seeing this, the family members were shocked, after which the police were immediately informed. He said that the preliminary investigation suggests that the purpose of throwing the body in the pit was to ensure that the body would not be noticed quickly by anyone and the matter could be concealed. According to the station in-charge, at first glance the girl’s clothes appear to be intact. Police have registered a case and are interrogating family members and villagers. The situation will become completely clear only after the postmortem report arrives.
