Protest over relocation of 35 families in Bhopal:Residents shifted from Deepak Nagar slum to Bag Mugalia after anti-encroachment drive

On Saturday, the district administration hastily shifted 35 families from a slum located in Deepak Nagar, Bawadiakalan, Bhopal, to Bag Mugalia Extension. The area where they were shifted is a green belt, and a high-tension line also passes overhead. In such a situation, along with the greenery, the lives of common people are also in danger. People have protested against this. Meanwhile, illegal encroachment on government land was removed from Aredi. Environmentalist and resident of the extension, Umashankar Tiwari, stated that families had been living in Deepak Nagar for about 32 years. On Saturday, Kolar SDM and Tehsildar shifted them to an empty plot in Bag Mugalia Extension, in front of the cremation ground. Hundreds of trees are planted here. It was said that space would be provided amidst the trees. Also, a high-tension line passes through here. Complaint to the Collector
A complaint has also been lodged with Collector Priyank Mishra in this matter. Along with this, public representatives have been urged to rehabilitate people in a better way. This will also save greenery. Administration’s action in Aredi illegal encroachment demolished
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the administration took major action regarding illegal encroachment. Under the leadership of Huzoor SDM Vinod Sonkia and Additional Tehsildar Atul Sharma, illegal encroachment was removed from a total area of 02 acres of government land, Khasra No. 292 and Khasra No. 293, located in Gram Aredi. Its government guideline value is approximately 2 crore rupees, but its market value is estimated at 5 crore rupees. This government land will be freed from illegal encroachment and a government project will be brought here.
