Police on Saturday revealed the murder of 3-year-old innocent Anirudh in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. The child’s elder aunt kidnapped him and strangled him to death due to animosity over a land dispute. The incident is from Mahuakheda village in Tejgarh area. SP Anand Kaladgi said that there was a land dispute between the deceased Anirudh’s father Makhan Singh and his brother Bhagwan Singh Lodhi. In this animosity, Bhagwan Singh’s wife, Rajkumari Lodhi, called the child to her on Friday morning and made him disappear. The child’s father, Makhan Singh, had stated that Anirudh was playing in the courtyard of the house when he suddenly went missing. After a lot of searching, when no trace of him was found, the police were informed. Based on information from villagers, a 70-foot deep well was also searched. Police, dog squad, and SDRF team were engaged in the search for the child all night. Body found on the second day, had injury marks On Saturday afternoon, Anirudh’s body was found on a haystack near his house. There were injury marks on the body. As soon as the information was received, SP Anand Kaladgi and the FSL team reached the spot. Keeping the crime scene secure, the police started an investigation. Confessed to the crime after strict interrogation in custody Police suspected the child’s paternal uncle, Bhagwan Singh, and paternal aunt, Rajkumari Lodhi, from the beginning. Both were taken into custody and interrogated. Under strict interrogation, Rajkumari Lodhi broke down and confessed to the murder.
