Find out what happened in the public hearing on Tuesday? Had told the Collector – Your officer took a bribe During the public hearing on Tuesday, farmer Shyam Kumrawat submitted an application to the Collector, demanding a path/way. He said that he and his father have been struggling with the problem of the path for three years. At this, the Collector told him to move on. Shyam said – You are not paying attention, because your officer had taken a bribe. You are not listening to our problem to save the officer. The farmer said, “You are all corrupt, if the problem is not resolved, I will die.” It is alleged that as soon as he heard this, the Collector got agitated and called the police, having him locked up in the City Magistrate’s office, and later he was sent to jail. Prisoners are given food worse than animals in jail After his release, farmer Shyam said, “Prisoners in jail are given food worse than animals. I ate only half a roti. The curry had rotten potatoes. Torn sheets were given for sleeping. There are no doors in the toilets there, so we had to defecate in the open. We were not even allowed to wear slippers.” Won cases up to High Court, still no solution found Shyam says he has won the road case from the Tehsil court to the High Court. Despite the road being registered in the 1981 registry, neighbors blocked it in 2019. He alleged that the then Additional Collector had taken a bribe and ruled against them, against which they went to the Indore Commissioner and the Revenue Board Gwalior and won there too. The High Court also ruled in their favor, but they have been struggling for three years to take possession. Due to the lack of a road, the land lies barren. Even animals died of hunger.
