Extra care should be taken for children and the elderly. April heat at peak Experts say April and May are the hottest months in the state, and temperatures usually peak during this period. In recent years, cities like Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior have regularly recorded temperatures above 43–45°C in April.
