Cricket fans in Rajasthan, especially students, have reason to cheer as Rajasthan Royals rolls out a special ticket scheme for the ongoing Indian Premier League season. The franchise will offer heavily discounted tickets exclusively for students at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Tickets at ₹500, limited access Rajasthan Royals Vice President Rajeev Khanna said students can buy tickets for just ₹500, significantly lower than the usual ₹1,800–₹2,500 price range. These tickets will be available for the East Stand, known for its close-up view of the action. However, the facility comes with conditions: Sale begins April 24 for opening Jaipur match The first IPL match in Jaipur this season will be played on April 25 between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Students can purchase discounted tickets on April 24 from counters at the stadium. Offline ticket counters have already been set up at the East, West and North gates of the venue. These counters operate daily from 11 AM to 6 PM. Until now, tickets were sold at regular rates, but the student discount will come into effect from April 24. Ticket prices rise overall IPL ticket prices have increased this season. The base price for East Stand tickets has gone up to ₹1,800—₹300 higher than last year. At the premium end, tickets for the Dream Lounge can cost up to ₹40,000. With prices rising based on demand, the ₹500 student ticket is being seen as a major relief, making live IPL action more accessible for young fans.
