In Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, on Friday evening at 7 pm, a speeding truck hit a family on a bike on National Highway-52. In the accident, a mother and her one-year-old son died on the spot. The child’s head was severed from the body. The incident is from Biaora police station area. According to information, the deceased have been identified as Sumitra Bai (25) and Kanha (1). The injured include Anil Verma and Anushka (4), who are residents of Moya village. Both have been admitted to the civil hospital. After the accident, people blocked the road by placing the bodies on the street. Family was taking sick son to hospital Family members said that Anil Verma was taking his sister-in-law Sumitra Bai (25) and nephew Kanha on a bike to the civil hospital. Kanha was unwell. He was being taken for treatment. Kanha was the only son in the family. Four-year-old Anushka was also riding on the bike. There were a total of four people on the bike. All were going for treatment. Around 7 pm in the evening, as soon as they turned towards the hospital road, a speeding truck coming from behind from Guna hit them. Angered by the death of mother and son and the driver fleeing, people placed the bodies on the highway and staged a protest. A traffic jam about one kilometer long formed on Rajgarh bypass and service road. People allege that after the accident, a police’s vehicle passed by the spot, but did not chase the truck. This increased the anger. Upon receiving information, city and rural police reached the spot. They counseled the relatives. The road blockade continued for about half an hour, after which the jam cleared.
