Gujarat Titans (GT) registered a five-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the IPL 2026 clash on April 17. Chasing a target of 181, GT stretched the game till the final over before sealing the victory with two balls remaining. The win marked GT’s third straight triumph after losing their opening two matches of the season. In contrast, KKR’s struggles continued, as they remained without a win, suffering their fifth defeat in six games. The GT vs KKR match in Ahmedabad had many special moments. Let’s take a look. This happened on the last ball of the 17th over bowled by Vaibhav Arora when Shubman Gill sliced the ball onto the off-side and Green, fielding at deep third man, dived in front to catch the ball which was dipping in front of him. Jos Buttler missed stumping as Green hits boundary by luck In the 20th over, Jos Buttler also missed a stumping opportunity. On the fifth ball of the over, Rashid Khan bowled a fuller length flipper. Cameron Green came down the track to play a big shot but missed it. The ball went towards wicketkeeper Buttler, but he couldn’t catch the ball. The ball went past the boundary. After 3 lifelines, Green was out after scoring 79 runs. Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan hit 3 sixes of Anukul Roy in 3rd over In Gujarat’s batting, Kolkata’s Anukul Roy conceded 20 runs in one over during the powerplay. The left-arm spinner came to bowl in the third over. On the second ball, Shubman Gill played an inside-out shot and hit a six towards covers. Sai Sudharsan then hit 2 more sixes towards the leg side on the fourth and sixth balls. 20 runs were scored in the over with the help of 3 sixes. Washington Sundar dropped Cameron Green in 14th over In the 14th over, Washington Sundar dropped an easy catch. Rashid Khan bowled the third ball of the over on a good length. Cameron Green played a sweep shot, but the ball went up in the air towards square leg. Sundar ran and reached near the ball, but couldn’t hold the catch. At the time of the lifeline, Green was on a score of 62 runs. Just the previous ball, wicketkeeper Jos Buttler had also dropped a difficult catch. Varun Chakaravarthy recorded 100 wickets for KKR In the 10th over, Kolkata’s Varun Chakravarthy got Jos Buttler caught.
