In a major breakthrough, Jabalpur police have arrested a notorious vehicle thief and recovered 11 stolen two-wheelers worth around ₹6 lakh. According to police, the operation was carried out by the Lordganj Police Station team following a tip-off from an informer. Acting swiftly, the team apprehended the accused, identified as Krishna Ushta Varan alias Krishna Yadav (around 19–20 years old), from the Jaynagar Park area. Accused confesses to multiple thefts During initial interrogation, the accused confessed to his involvement in several vehicle theft cases across the city. Based on his disclosure, police recovered 11 stolen two-wheelers from different locations. Officials said: Modus operandi revealed Police revealed that the accused used to hide stolen vehicles at different locations to avoid suspicion. He had not yet managed to sell most of them, which led to their recovery. Further interrogation is underway to uncover more theft cases and possible links to a larger network. Police team behind the operation The successful operation was carried out under the leadership of Station In-charge Naval Arya. The team included Sub-Inspector Rahul, ASI Rajesh Verma, and constables Valesh, Pankaj, Shubham, Adarsh, Unna, and Kunnan, who played key roles in cracking the case.
